While my husband and I had purchased our first home—that was a new build—just four years prior, we had recently welcomed our second child and were quickly realizing that our current floor plan wasn’t ideal for our growing family. As our firstborn neared school age and began to spend more time outdoors, we knew it was time to also consider school districts and neighborhoods that allowed for bike riding and playing with neighborhood friends. While our current home was in a great location, our steep driveway lead to the busiest road in our neighborhood, which was a potential disaster just waiting to happen!

What were you looking for in a real estate agent?

When we began to discuss the idea of moving, we knew we wanted to work with someone that was personable, genuine, and had our best interest at heart. We had heard our fair share of individuals who worked with agents that simply wanted to close a deal and took little interest in prioritizing the client.

What was the best part of your experience?

Damara did a wonderful job of making each step fun and exciting. From prepping our home for showings and having professional photos taken, to looking at current builds and finally designing our own floor plan, we genuinely enjoyed exploring the many different avenues available to us. While each step required time and attention, it truly was a fun experience!

Were there stressful moments or things you were concerned about in the process? How were they handled?

As with any project, there were a few surprises along the way, particularly when it came to navigating negotiations with our builder. But any time we needed additional support, Damara was there to step in and offer her expertise. One thing we learned throughout the building process is that builders, contractors, and designers want to remain in good standing with real estate agents, so it’s nice having one in your corner, rather than trying to navigate the process solo.

Walk me through how your Meese Property Group prepared your home to sell? What stood out?

She provided a very detailed checklist along with additional helpful tips on prepping the home for showings. She also helped with coordinating having professional photos taken and getting the house appraised.

How did you feel Damara Meese marketed your home? What stood out to you?

It was a lot of fun to watch Damara and her team take our home and present it to the world. We loved the personal touches they added to the listing, the video walkthrough, and social posts. It meant a lot to us that they put so much time and attention into the preparation. You could tell they truly cared about each and every detail of the process.
